I've never played a game from this series before so I'm going to leave out how its so similar to the others. Basically this is a hack and slash game with a bit of strategy. Contents: 1) Empire mode This is the strategy part of the game. Choose from any one of the scenarios, pick difficulty, pick a clan, change some options then start your conquest. The idea is to take over the whole of Japan (on regional scenarios if you win by the year 1600 then you can precede to the whole of Japan with the territory and generals you collected). Each turn consists of 2 parts: strategy and battle. In strategy you can hire officers enact policies, consult your generals, move your forces (providing you have somewhere to move them to): basically get ready for battle.
