In a nutshell: Build Rome in a day with the first Caesar game in full 3D. There''s not much debauchery here though, but plenty of zone planning and fending off pesky barbarians. The lowdown: Pitched as a sort of SimCity 100BC, Caesar IV is a little more structured than its modern equivalent, as you''re put in charge of an increasingly large population, while also keeping Rome happy by furnishing it with whatever goods it requires. You can''t just slap buildings down anywhere though but most consider aesthetics, supply and demand and the three tier social structure. The interface could''ve been a touch more intuitive, or at least not so thoroughly old fashioned, but this is still easily the best historical city builder in terms of depth, graphics and the impression of being in control of an...
