Find-Game's selection of great new games due out soon; Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2 plus much more
Published: Wednesday, January 18, 2012
As you will have noticed there have been a vast number of new games titles released during the weeks leading up to Christmas as happens every year. January always seems to appear a little flat by comparison. Most of you game enthusiasts though should have been well supplied with new games to play after Christmas Day (if you were really careful compiling your list for Santa) and we are sure you will still be getting intense enjoyment out of the ones you were lucky enough to receive.
The team at Find-Game have had a quick look at some of the new titles that are going to be available in January, February and March and here we will bring you a short overview of what is coming soon – just in case you have any Christmas money left to spend! You may have to wait a few weeks until something you really want comes out but remember – if they are on our site you ought to be able to pre-order them.
We really liked the look of Mass Effect 3 (for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360) which will be out on 9/3/12. We are not alone – reading all the news about this game we get the impression it is going to be BIG! This is the third in the Mass Effect trilogy of Sci-Fi action adventure RPG's and begins after the events of Mass Effect 2 DLC expansion – Arrival. You will play as Commander Shepard and it will be your mission to stop an alien invasion by the Reapers and to save the World from devastation. You will have to prepare yourself for combat, choose who you can trust, form alliances, use your skill to decide which are the best tactics to use against the enemy, unlock a weapons arsenal (which you may customise) then choose the most appropriate ones for each task. The ending is determined by your own choices and actions so steel yourself – it will either be glory or annihilation.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be out on 3/2/12 for PS3 and Xbox 360. The time is three years on from the concluding events of Final Fantasy XIII. During the rebuilding of the devastated world Serah's elder sister (Lightning) and Snow appear to have gone missing. Serah sets off to find her sister; accompanied by a mysterious young man she has just met by chance called Noel Kreiss. Both old and new characters are on hand to help Serah solve the secret of Lightning's disappearance. This game is a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII and there have been some improvements this time including more freedom for the player and a superior Battle system. There is a slightly darker tone to the story in this chapter of Final Fantasy achieved, in part, by featuring the character The Goddess of Death (Etro). There is a high degree of time travel included and there are plenty of side-quests to keep the player interested. The plot is easier to follow this time so is suitable for newcomers and Final Fantasy veterans alike. There is also a Final Fantasy XIII-2 Limited Collector's Edition out on the same day containing the game plus lots of extras.
If you are into the Sims then you will have been looking out for this one. The Sims 3 Master Suite Stuff will be released on 27/1/12 for PC. It is the fifth pack of Sims Stuff and your virtual friends are going to be highly delighted with it. You will be able to design a luxury bathroom and bedroom complete with trendy furniture and stylish décor with accessories to die for. Complete the look with a range of alluring glitzy bedtime wear (including lingerie) and set the scene with rose petals, candles, vases, mirrors etc. With 8 bathroom and 8 bedroom options to choose from to get you started your Sims will be able to enjoy a glamorously romantic night or a comfortably relaxing night in together.
Metal Gear Solid HD – Collection for PS3 and Xbox 360 will strongly appeal to all the Metal Gear Solid enthusiasts among you who will have enjoyed this Action Adventure franchise over many years but also to any newcomers to this iconic series. The collection from genius director Hideo Kojima (from Japan) includes three of the most popular games brought to you in fabulous High-Definition with new improved graphics, menu systems plus more. Resident Evil Revelations is going to be released for Nintendo DS on 27/1/12. Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA) co-founders, return with other characters old and new in this, the eighth instalment in this series of survival horror games.
The Last Story – a RPG of the action adventure genre is out next month (24/2/12) for Nintendo Wii. You will play as Zael or sometimes as one of his partners as he strives resolutely to become an honourable, upstanding Knight, turning his back on his past life as a mercenary. You can play this game using your own customised character in single player mode, or online in Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Co-Op modes.
There are quite a few PSP Vita games coming out soon. These include Asphalt (out on 22/2/12) – a typical arcade style racing game, Rayman Origins (out on 22/2/12) – help Rayman, Globox and the Teensies save their beloved Glade of Dreams from the Darktoons, Lumines Electronic Symphony (out on 22/2/12) – a very addictive electronic music-puzzle game, Dungeon Hunter Alliance (out on 22/2/12) – take on your heroic quest in a Gothic environment (Gothicus) either alone or as one of a valiant team of four and Michael Jackson The Experience (out on 22/2/12) – a rhythm game featuring 15 of this Pop legend's most famous smash hits.
