Remember when Star Fox hit the SNES in 1992? Millions of gamers were blown away by the much-vaunted capabilities of the Super FX chip that accompanied Star Fox that Nintendo were so vigorously promoting. Back then it was state-of-the-art stuff, and a glimpse of things to come. And now, ten years on, the same technology has been squeezed into the wonder that is Game Boy Advance in a little game that goes by the name of Star X. In a nutshell, Star X is a 3D shooter for a handheld console that seems to be wholly inspired by Nintendos 16-bit efforts. The game has been rendered in full 3D, although it lacks any kind of close up detail and fluid motion. Buy hey, its on a tiny LCD screen, and thats a very cool thing.
