A quick look around the net seems to reveal nothing but bad reviews for this game, but I've really enjoyed playing it so far so I thought I'd add some comments. One thing this isn't is the genre breaking revolutionary game it claimed to be - if I had to sum it up I'd say it was a bit like Tomb Raider with Steampunk cowboys. It's very much an action platformer, with your character, a war-hero-turned-resitance-fighter Hamilton Rourke (generic gritty hero #67 with a cool hat), jumping, climbing and swinging around blasted industrial cityscapes, giant mining complexes and so forth occasionally stopping to dispatch evil henchmen with a rather cool looking array of Steampunk Western-style weaponry. The railroad spike gun is a particular favourite. The setting reminds me a lot of the Deadlands RPG...
