Donkey Kong Country Returns
Released in December 2010, "Donkey Kong Country Returns" is the new side-scrolling 2D platform game from Retro Studios for the Nintendo Wii console.
Game players control Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong as they set about retrieving their bananas which have been stolen by the animals on DK Island while under the hypnotic influence of a group of evil Tikis (the Tik Tak Tribe). Single players control only Donkey Kong but can use Diddy's jet pack as a boost to help them. In multiplayer mode two players each control one of the characters though Diddy can jump onto Donkey Kong's back to play a more passive game.
The game features the essential elements of Donky Kong Country, such as mine carts, barrel cannons, swinging from vines, collecting bananas and the golden KONG letters plus the reappearance of Cranky, Rambi and Squawks. Other features include a time attack mode and a Super Guide feature where Super Kong takes over to finish a level after eight "deaths".
This is a fun game for all the family and comes highly recommended.

Having purchased Donkey Kong Returns, I was extremely impressed by all aspects of the game.
The graphics are outstanding and having to use the wii remote and nun chuck to run fast and compete during the game really made me think I was in the game. I know that sounds cheesy but it is a great game.
There are plenty of levels to get through and the secret levels that you find throughout the game are cool.
Overall a very enjoyable game to play and I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Donkey Kong or who is a fan of these type of platform games.
