When I first saw that Rare announced that they were making a new Banjo Kazooie game, I was really looking forward to it. Having been a fan of the Banjo Kazooie series, I was highly awaiting a new, good, platform game for the Xbox 360. How wrong I was. Not saying that Banjo Kazooie isn't a great game, but it is definitely not what you could call a conventional platform game. In the same direction of Rare's recent games (noticeably Viva Pinata), Rare are trying to break the normal and experiment new formats. And I personally think Banjo Kazooie worked. I don't want to give too much away, but if you liked Viva Pinata and have an open-mind when it comes to new concepts this is not a game to miss. It takes a bit to get used to so it's not for the impatient people, but this is definitely a game to try and I personally think this is one of the best games of last year so don't let it slip through your fingers.
